Why I Write…
Writing is a gift I’ve been aware of since a young age. Writing has been my source of income, as well as a source of healing, joy and connection.
What I’m Working On…
So many things! Personal essays are my focus right now and they’re building up into a compilation that I’m fairly sure will be my next memoir. Stay tuned! In 2010, I published my first memoir, “Only God Knows Why,” with Chalice Press, and I have self-published three novels since then.
What I Do When I’m Not Writing…
Most importantly, I’m a Mom to one handsome boy here on earth and one sweet girl up in Heaven. I currently serve as the program director at a rescue mission for homeless women with children in Florida. Prior to nonprofit work, I spent 20-plus years as a journalist and editor for various newspapers, magazines and specialty publications.
